We’re delighted to be welcoming Skipton Fairtrade to Alexander’s on Tuesday 19 February, as they host their ‘Playing Fair’ Fairtrade Supper ahead of national ‘Fairtrade Fortnight’.
This ticketed event is open to all and promises to be a unique and enlightening evening, as guests enjoy a Two-Course Supper featuring a wonderful mix of Fairtrade produce cooked up by Alexander’s very own chefs.
The Fairtrade initiative is about supporting and promoting products and businesses who are committed to providing fair terms of trade to farmers and workers in the developing world; to discuss this global impact and Skipton’s ‘Fairtrade Town’ status, Joanna Pollard, Coordinator of Fairtrade Yorkshire, will be speaking at the event in a fascinating pre-dinner presentation.
We’ll also be joined by a small number of local businesses and ethical suppliers, who will have products or information available for you to take a look at.
All guests will receive a complimentary welcome drink included in the ticket price of just £19.95pp.
The evening will commence at 1900 with our guest speaker taking the floor at 1930 and supper being served at 2000. Places are available by pre-booking only and tickets are limited, so book now using the ‘BOOK’ button at the top of the page, email firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call on 01756 228030.
