With Alexander’s culinary inspiration steeped in the traditional European Grand Tours fashionable at the turn of the nineteenth century, we have pooled all our flair and flamboyance to create a festive experience like no other! Off Piste presents not only a mouth-watering fine dining experience, but one that is so unique and fun, you’ll be talking about it until next Christmas!

Our winter wonderland, complete with cosy terrace bar, toasty fire pits, twinkling fir trees and our luxurious alpine retreat is the absolute epitome of a chic après ski resort. Sip on a stein of Paulaner German lager or a warming glass of mulled wine before taking your snuggly seat in our cosy, heated log cabin for a gourmet Alpine sharing menu… First stop; France and our hearty, warming Winter Vegetable and Morteau Sausage broth; saucisse de Morteau being a traditional smoked sausage from the historical Franche-Comté region.

The Alps beckons next with one of its most quintessential après-ski dishes, Tartiflette – a real thoroughbred, made from potatoes, shallots, cream, bacon and Reblochon cheese – which owes its pedigree to Francois Massialot’s book, Le Cuisinier Royal et Bourgeois, published in 1705.

Next comes an indulgent smorgasbord of smoked and cured fish, pickles and chutney before our piece de résistance and a speciality of the Alsace and Baden-Württemberg and Rheinland-Pfalz regions of Germany – Alexander’s signature Tarte Flambée, made with cream cheese, gruyere, bacon, onion and thyme – and all cooked fresh to order before your eyes by head chef Paul Cunliffe in our brand new for 2020, Off Piste Kitchen Theatre.

Traditional locally sourced Frankfurter Sausages and homemade Sauerkraut complete the epic main tour, before a final festive indulgence of Dark Chocolate, Honey and Cognac Fondue served with homemade honeycomb, dipping fruit and marshmallows.
