We’re delighted to be welcoming Skipton Fairtrade to Alexander’s on Tuesday 19 February, as they host their ‘Playing Fair’ Fairtrade Supper ahead of national ‘Fairtrade Fortnight’.

This ticketed event is open to all and promises to be a unique and enlightening evening, as guests enjoy a Two Course Supper featuring a wonderful mix of Fairtrade produce cooked up by Alexander’s very own chefs.

You can enjoy dishes such as Sweet Curried Goat– locally sourced- with African Mole Sauce made from Fairtrade coffee and chocolate, Lentil and Sweet Potato West African Stew or Kilombero Jollof made from Fairtrade Kilombero rice with beans.

If you have a sweet tooth, try the Banana Mandazi with Divine Chocolate Sauce– a traditional and delicious Malawian doughnut.

All guests will receive a complimentary welcome drink, a Fairtrade goody bag and invaluable insight from a fascinating guest speaker included in the ticket price of just £19.95pp.

To discuss the global impact of Fairtrade as well as Skipton’s ‘Fairtrade Town’ status, Joanna Pollard, Coordinator of Fairtrade Yorkshire, will be speaking at the event with an engaging pre-dinner presentation.

The evening will commence at 1900 with our guest speaker taking the floor at 1930 and supper being served at 2000.
