Not an early riser? It’s never too late to get in on the action. You’ll find tasty, balanced dishes on all of our menus, like the Charred Sweetcorn & Chive Risotto with toasted hazelnuts, preserved lemon & pink peppercorns from our Lunch Specials, or our All Day Dining menu featuring delicious cuisine like the vibrant Beetroots Roasted & Pickled with radishes, apricot & ginger jelly & five spice rice crackers and our King Prawn Tagine with harissa spiced cous cous, preserved lemon & chermoula dressing.
Yummy sides like Chicory, Pear & Walnut Salad with lemon vinaigrette and Sautéed Kale with toasted pine nuts & parmesan are also available all day and add that extra something to any dish.
Giving Dry January a go to cut down the calories? We have a multitude of healthier options for bun-stranglers (Edwardian for non-drinkers!) at Alexander’s. Enjoy the amazing flavours and fragrant aromas of our huge range of teas & coffees– just what the doctor ordered when you need a little lift on a busy day.
If you prefer something a bit more chilled, our smoothies and fruit juices will do the trick, or if you’re out for the evening why not sample our refreshing mocktails and our non-alcoholic gin and beer. Our Virgin Alexander with tomato juice, tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, lemon and spices is sure to add some pep to your mood- who says Dry January has to be boring?
As we know, reducing the amount of meat we eat can have its own health benefits, so why not discover exciting vegan food at Alexander’s this Veganuary– lots of dishes on our menus have vegan options, just ask your server.
Our Lentil & Spinach Dal is a firm favourite, with carrot & courgette bhaji, coriander & toasted coconut & mango pickle. If you have a sweet tooth, our Mulled Seasonal Fruit with vegan meringue, vanilla & soya yoghurt is a must!

We’re lucky to have the stunning Yorkshire Dales right on our doorstep, so if you’re out and about getting some exercise this New Year, make sure you stop by Alexander’s to refuel at the end of your route.
Remember, dogs are always welcome in our Parlour and our covered Terrace– which is heated too! Our Terrace and Secret Garden is the perfect outdoor haven, providing the ideal place to enjoy good food and beautiful views overlooking the Leeds Liverpool canal- it’s enough to brighten anyone’s mood.
