Spring has (almost!) sprung and to usher in the new season, our talented chefs have created a fresh new menu filled with international-inspired dishes which combine authentic ingredients and heavenly flavours.

We will soon be releasing our Spring Menu, which will be available from Thursday 1 March, featuring tasty small plates, satisfying sharing boards, gorgeous new sides and delectable desserts such as (drum roll please…)

Our seasonal menus are lovingly created by our team of brilliant chefs.  With our Executive Head Chef Jason in New York, (seeking inspiration for future new dishes) we asked Senior Sous Chef Struan, to give us the lowdown on what goes into creating a new menu. Here is what he had to say.

Hi, Struan! We know a lot of thought goes behind creating a new menu- what was the thought process behind this one?

“The thought process is, as always, to create a menu that strongly pulls on our influences as chefs, from our travels and careers, to bring together eclectic world influences with classic techniques.”

As you know, Alexander’s loves local suppliers. How do you source the produce for a new menu?

“We use the best British and local produce and match them with the best and most complimentary ingredients from wherever that may be around the world.  Within this we try to be seasonal and use what is best from nature and at its peak for the time of year.”

Why do you enjoy creating menus for Alexander’s?

“The story of Alexander’s and the varied cuisine we showcase allows us to be liberal with our influences and our take on dishes, without being tied to a certain cuisine or restricted by a strict style.”
