Valentine’s Day can also be referred to as the “Feast of Saint Valentine” and at Alexander’s we’ve taken this to heart!

We have officially launched our Valentine’s Menu so you and your loved one can celebrate with a romantic 4-course meal, perfectly made for two.

Bookings are available 9-18 February, so there’s no excuse to miss out!

The earliest acknowledgment of 14th February being an annual celebration of love was in 1400, where “lavish festivities and a grand feast befitting of royalty” were to be expected; at Alexander’s, we love to create plentiful food to share and our Valentine’s Menu is no exception.

Our chefs have carefully put together delicious sharing boards for you to enjoy, such as:


Moules Marinare

A sumptuously creamy dish of mussels, white wine, shallots & parsley.

Surf & Turf

This Main Course is pure decadence; prime rib beef with a peppercorn sauce and half-lobster thermidor with parmentier potatoes and a mixed leaf salad.

Passion Fruit Soufflé

The cherry on top has to be dessert, so grab a spoon each and dig in to our passion fruit soufflé with a white chocolate sauce.

Love Local Produce

We take pride in our Yorkshire roots and love our local suppliers; read more about our Ripon based meat supplier R&J and cheese supplier The Courtyard Dairy, from Austwick. The delicious seafood dishes on our Valentine’s Menu will be prepared with fresh, tasty fish from local supplier, Tennants Fresh Fish.

One of the delicious starters to choose from on our Valentine’s Menu is a Goat’s Cheese Croustade with confit tomatoes and basil pesto. We source our goat’s cheese from Yellison Farm- a well-known and loved, established goat’s cheese brand based in Carleton.
